2. The Call -Nemo is taken from Marlin -The War ends and Odysseus must come home

3. Allies -Marlin meets Dory and she helps him to find Nemo -Athena

4. Guardians/Crossing the Threshold -Marlin asks every fish he sees if they know where the boat that took Nemo is going -Odysseus makes sacrifices to Athena before beginning his journey

5. Road of Trials -Marlin crosses the sea to find Nemo -Near death experiences: Sharks, whale, jellyfish, etc. -Odysseus crosses sea to get home -Near death experiences: Lotus Eater, Cyclops, Circe, Calypso, etc.

6. Saving Experience or Gift -The pelican saves Marlin from being eaten by the seagulls -Circe gives many detailed instructions to Odysseus so that he can get home

7. Transforming Changes -Marlin finds Nemo and they help save Dory from the fishing net she is caught in -Odysseus learns from Teiresias that there are suitors trying to marry his wife and he must get home

8. The Return -Marlin, Nemo and Dory finally return to the reef -Odysseus loses his entire crew and faces death many times before returning home

9. Sharing the Gift -Marlin lets Nemo go to school and they live a happier life -Odysseus returns home, rids his house of the suitors, and saves his wife
