2 What you need AAP PC with full AAP installation RTD PC with
RTD installed AT&T 3G package installed AAP TCP Server software installed Gemalto MSC and driver software PCOM32 software USIM reader and driver software Appropriate UICC for test package (see release note)

3 Test Setup Mobile SIM Connector (Gemalto)
“Paddle” (5 different types supplied by Gemalto to support various SIM card orientations) USB USB SIM Card Reader (Gemalto or Oberthur) SIM Card Confidential & Propreitary

4 Installing Gemalto MSC
Install Gemalto MSC software package on RTD PC, then perform the following test: Connect the MSC to the UE with the provided USIM paddle. Connect the MSC to the RTD PC with the USB connection Reset the MSC by pressing and holding the red button for a minimum of 5 seconds. In the C:\SIMConnector directory select and execute the GemaltoStart.bat batch file. A window should appear. Switch on the UE. The window should display a significant amount of flowing text. If it does not, repeat steps 1 to 4. (Text should end with “MSC box initiated”) If the window shows flowing text, then in the C:\SIMConnector directory select and execute the GemaltoStop.bat batch file. The window should disappear, or at least the program should stop running in the window and the command prompt should be visible. If the window is still visible, close it. The Gemalto MSC should now be usable.

Install USIM reader drivers Connect USIM reader via USB

6 Installing PCOM32 Install PCOM32 software on RTD PC
Version Ensure USIM reader is connected to the RTD PC via USB Insert UICC into USIM reader Test setup using: 3G UICC: Double click GENTEST01.cmd in C:\RTDAutomation\PCOM Scripts\ATT 4G UICC: Double click GENTEST03.cmd in C:\RTDAutomation\PCOM Scripts\LTE\ATT Command prompt will flash up showing flowing test, then close upon success

7 Running from AAP Ping RTD PC to test communication
Create test sequence as normal Run TestDialog.exe from C:\Anritsu\AAP\TestDialog Execute test sequence In AAP Select UE pop-up window set: AAP PCOM PGMR CONTROL to “Auto” In Advanced Tab set: Automation Mode to “auto” Check Dynamic PCOM Programming is set to “Use Dynamic PCOM Programming”

8 Other info When doing automated PCOM programming, only one Select UE step should be included in the AAP test sequence. If more than one is used, the second, third etc Select UE steps will pop-up and default to manual PCOM scripting, causing failures in later tests.
