4. Time Management Make a list of things to do each day. Set deadlines. Prioritize the things you have to do. Delegate tasks when possible. Schedule more time for creative projects or important tasks. Break large projects into smaller, more manageable tasks. Do creative work at the time of day when you have the most energy. 5. Planning and Implementation Establish clear goals and objectives for your organization. 7. Developing Your Facilitation Skills Refrain from telling team members what to do and how to do it. Encourage team members to communicate with one another. Encourage team members to communicate with you. Help the team focus on its objectives. Encourage the team to solve its own problems. Remain neutral and don ’ t try to influence the group ’ s efforts. 8. Motivating People Treat other people with respect. Provide clear direction and purpose when leading a team Be honest with team members. Know what each team member values and reward them accordingly. Work with people who do not perform to expectations to find out why. Reward people immediately after their achievement. 9. Mentoring Observe people to identify those with potential. Be a good listener. When people coming to you with problem, encourage them to think of and consider possible solutions Have the time necessary to help someone develop their skills. 10. Team Building Choose team members who meet job requirements and work well with others. Involve team members in planning and problem-solving. Encourage people to work together. Ensure that team members have the necessary training to do their jobs. Understand that conflict is normal. Help the team resolve conflict quickly.
