Facebook- Still very popular…you can posts pictures, vids and text… 3 Instagram- climbing up the ladder in popularity..pictures, vids and text 4. Twitter- Mostly text only…140 character…(my fave for aid) 5 Youtube- videos-

6. C’,MON EVEN THE POPE HAS A TWITTER ACCOUNT! Social media is not going away! Get on the bus!

7. I USE TWITTER AND INSTAGRAM Don’t feel like you have to do it all! Start slow and build if you choose too Here I am “IN ACTION!’

8. TEXTING AND EMAIL Are your students still looking at emails?...how bout texting?... Let your students know that they need to keep tabs on EMAIL!. That has worked for us!

12. MAKE IT LIGHT HEARTED All about the FAFSA and the TAP.. Custom videos Custom memes (best for instagram)

13. HOT RIGHT NOW! Live streaming information Since it’s hot…just something to get the student’s attention

14. LIVING IN A HASHTAG WORLD Yes…I still called it a Pound sign until recently Great way to search a topic! Great example is #Fachat

15. HOW TO SCHEDULE SOCIAL MEDIA POSTS!

16. PRIVACY/SECURITY Don't forget about privacy settings. You use them on your personal profiles, do the same at work.. Taking care of the privacy settings also includes protecting your passwords. Only give passwords to those a select few and choose a password that would be hard to guess. Also, use capital letters, numbers and characters within your password.

17. DO WHAT YOUR COMFORTABLE WITH! Social media platforms should be nice additions. Don’t stress..do what you’re comfortable with.
