Current Situation ENERGY SUPPLY: Dramatically increasing prices since years Naturally limited oil, gas and coal supplies constantly increasing energy consumption REFUSE DISPOSAL: increasing quantities of waste worldwide actual conceptions of refuse disposal often are uneconomic, inefficient and have a negative impact on environment

Approach Abounding input material:  constantly arising of waste  conversion of complete landfills possible  WP Plant is processing every kind of waste  WP Plant requires no presorting of the waste WASTE UTILISATION TO GENERATE ENERGY

The Waste Processing Method Unsorted domestic and commercial wastes are converted into energy - nearly without emissions and highly energy-efficient in a closed system.

Flow chart compacting crushing drying mixing combustion additives sewage exhaust air drying energy electrical energy thermal energy ashes waste

Advantages of the WP Method high ecological benefit thanks to: - efficient recovery of unsorted waste material - durable crystalline bonding of the pollutants - closed system high availability thanks to: - tried and tested and high-quality machinery - simple handling and extreme operational ease high profitability thanks to: - efficient recovery of waste material - low incidental costs and high annual level of utilisation - remuneration of waste acceptance - high rate of energy yield combined with guaranteed compensation

Investment and Project Development The WP-Plant is distributed as a turn-key solution. We completely provide all services required to put the system into operation: - project planning and system engineering - assistance of the customer in approval procedures, constructional planning etc. - deployment of a project-team - entire site management - delivery and erection of the system - final acceptance tests - start of operation approx. 9 months after completion of base plate

Process Overview

Combustion Procedure fuel delivery storage steam boiler steam turbine plant heat exchange

Process Description Delivery of the waste using waste trucks and unloading in the hall. Determination of the amount of waste unloaded using weighbridges. The waste storage area in the hall is closed by gates and will be ventilated (capacity approx. one-weeks production). The waste is roughly sorted, desirable resources (e.g. metals) are separated (pos. 3). Im crushing plant (pos. 4, rotary mill) the material is milled. During an inspection (pos. 5 and 6) the waste is separated into light and heavy materials. In the dryer (pos. 7), the moisture content of the waste will be reduced. The moisture removed will be fed into the sewage treatment system and cleaned to the “surface process water” degree of purification using frequently used methods.

In the mixing process (pos. 11) carbon dust, lime, catalysts, filler material are added continuously. Due to the exact automatic dosing of the additives, all harmful substances will be bound in crystalline form and the heating value is hold constant. During compacting (pos. 14 - 16) the material is heated, pressed through compacting sieves with high pressure and cut out in the form of pellets. Subsequently, cooling of the pellets (pos. 19) takes place in counter-flow coolers. The solid fuel storage (pos. 23) is designed as a flat store and has a size of approximately half a month’s capacity. In the combined heat and power unit (CHP) with power heat coupling, electricity and thermal energy are generated, CO2 neutral and environmentally friendly. Pollutants are durable bonded crystalline in the combustion ashes. The ashes can be used in construction projects (e.g. production of concrete, road building).

Annual Capacity The data stated here are based on experience. non-stop 24-hours operating idle machines for revision work etc.: 2.5 hours per day 2 weeks per year thermal 105,000 MWh ENERGY electrical 210,000 MWh Waste 105,000 t Additives Pellets 105,000 t +./. Moisture

Profitability Revenues from remuneration of waste acceptance sale of electrical energy sale of thermal energy Expenses mainly for additives, sewerage operating costs (repair and maintenance, wear and tear) salaries and wages (approx. 20 employees) administration, assurance etc. depreciation, interest Profitability (ROI) depends on the remuneration of waste acceptance and the electrical tariff.

Experience The technology is field-tested and worldwide unique. The first WP-plant was installed and operated in Leer, North Germany. Our advantage: Exclusive experience in planning, projection, installation and operation of waste processing plants.  long-time experience in planning and building fodder mills.  management competence and technical skills  procedural parallels between fodder mill systems and waste conversion technology

Waste Processing Technology Conclusion: high profitability turn key solution efficient conversion of wastes durable crystalline bonding of pollutants environmental-friendly production of electricity with guaranteed compensation tried and tested high-quality machine engineering with a high annual level of utilisation
