3 Abel still speaks (Heb. 11:4) Enoch was approved (Heb. 11:5-6) Noah became an heir (Heb. 11:7) Abraham & Sarah (Heb. 11:8-11) All these died in faith (Heb. 11:13-16) They did not receive the promises. Strangers & exiles on earth. They were all “seekers”.

4 Abraham’s Course (Heb. 11:17-19) Joseph’s Course (Heb. 11:22) Moses’ Course (Heb. 11:23-29) Many Others (Heb. 11:32-38) All these had a different course to run, yet all gained God’s approval through faith.

5 God has provided something better (Heb. 11:40) Better Promises (Heb. 8:6) Better promise of forgiveness (Heb. 8:12) Better high priest (Heb. 9:11-12) Hebrews 9:27-28 A cloud of witnesses surround us (Heb. 12:1) They ran their course, we can run ours! Lay aside every encumbrance and sin Run with endurance We will likely die before receiving the promises of God (Heb. 11:13-16)
