4 Bulimia Nervosa Obsessed with weight and body image During binge eating, person feels completely out of control After binge, do something to “make up” for the binge (self induced vomiting, laxatives, enemas, excessive exercise) Video

5 Binge Eating Eating a large amount of food in a short period of time Feels completely out of control while binging Distorted body image Similar to bulimia except the person does not purge after they binge eat

6 Group work In groups, pick a celebrity that has had an eating disorder and answer the following questions by doing research. What eating disorder did they have? What reason do they give for the eating disorder? What was their struggle like? Did they receive help? How long was their recovery or did they not recover? Find a picture if possible before, during and after the disorder
