Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. 2 Fayetteville / FT Bragg / Pope AFB (NC) Alumni Who: Performance Bicycles What: Hosts the ADA Tour de Cure Where:Cary, NC When:05 & 06 JUN 2010 Why:In order to: promote good health, raise awareness for diabetes and raised monies to help find a cure for diabetes Concept: The chapter joins the Tour de Cure as a team (10-man minimum) Each team members raises at least $150 Team members ride one of the four designated routes: Family Fun Ride – 10 miles Triangle Area Ride – 40 miles Sandhills Challenge Ride – 75 miles Sandhills Extreme Ride: - Century (100 Miles) Social / Sports Committee Why Ride? Everyone has a different reason for riding in the Tour de Cure and raising money for the American Diabetes Association. Some people ride in memory of a family member that lost their life to diabetes. Some people ride in honor of a friend that lives each day with this daunting disease. Some people ride for themselves. Tell Our Story Adopt-A-Highway Program WHO: Fayetteville / Fort Bragg / Pope AFB (NC) Alumni Chapter WHAT: Adopt-A-Highway Program (Litter pick-up) WHEN: Quarterly beginning in December 2009 WHERE: Ramsey Street from MLK Bypass to intersection of Country Drive WHY:Community Service in the Fayetteville Area. The Adopt-A-Highway sign displays the name Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. The Adopt-A-Highway Program (AAH) was established in 1988 by the North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) in response to growing public concern regarding litter along the state's highways. The AAH Program is administered by the NCDOT Office of Beautification Programs, and is a joint effort between community volunteers and the NCDOT. Its purpose is to decrease the amount of litter on North Carolina's roadsides and improve the beauty and quality of the environment.

Tell Our Story Social Action Thanksgiving Food Baskets WHO: Fayetteville / Fort Bragg / Pope AFB (NC) Alumni Chapter WHAT: Provides Thanksgiving Baskets to those that are in need WHEN: 8:00 am, 21 November 2009 WHERE: Golden Corral 1806 Skibo Rd, Fayetteville, NC 28303 WHY: To demonstrate our commitment of giving and providing community service CONCEPT. Brothers will meet at 0800 hrs at the Golden Corral for breakfast. After breakfast, we will launch to the location(s) for the basket deliveries.

Tell Our Story Bylaws Committee Under the provision of the newly adopted Bylaws: Immediate Past Polemarch automatically becomes at-large board member for the following year THE WAY AHEAD. Chapter must now conduct a Special Election to determine the fourth at-large board member
