Who we are: AVA House Staff- Laurie, Gill, Trevor, Camilla, Sam Qld Executive – Wayne Hein, Nigel Thomas, Tony Thelander, Michael O’Donoghue plus others Branches – South east Qld, Brisbane Veterinary Practitioners, Sunshine Coast, Darling Downs and South West, Central Qld and North Qld.

Strategic Plan Goals Goals – Advocacy: 1.To adopt pre-emptive and proactive advocacy and thus be Qld first reference group for animal health and welfare issues; to represent the veterinary profession and promote interests of members Actions: example Promote animal welfare facts plan outlining duty of care to animals including wild/feral animals - develop media articles to raise awareness

Strategic Plan Goals Branches Goals: 2. To increase AVA membership in Qld 3. To create a branch structure that better reflects the interests of members and which fosters participation and linkages to the Qld Division 4. To improve the function of the existing branch structure until a new branch structure is implemented
