Class Procedures: Sharpening Pencils: Pencils should be sharpened from 7:30-8:00 am and at the beginning of class you will have 3 min to be ready and working. Pencils are not to be sharpened during announcements or while the teacher is teaching a lesson or talking. No more than two students at the shapener at a time! Gum and Candy: Gum is NOT allowed. Candy may be given as a reward, but is not to be eaten without permission. Library Books: Students are expected to have their library book with them at all times in all classes. It should always be at your desk. Coats and Bookbags: All bookbags are to be placed under your desk at the beginning of class after you unpack for the class you are in. Coats are to be on the back of your chair. (cold) Dismissal: The TEACHER will dismiss students, not a bell or a clock. Breezeways: Are silent and walk on right hand side. Follow procedures for stopping and changing classes.

Using the trash can: Students will use the trash cans at the door and pencil Sharpener ONLY!! Classroom Library: Students may use the classroom library when they do not have a library book. If you get a book from the library, you must put the book back where you got it from before you leave the classroom. If your book is not put away properly, you will loose the privilege to use the library. Classroom library books are not to be taken home unless permission is given by the teacher. If the library begins to look like it is being abused and not taken care of, no one will be allowed to use the library. The library is off limits while the teacher is teaching or talking and while you are completing work. You may only get a book if your work is complete. Computers: Students may use the computers when work is complete ONLY!! Unless otherwise directed by the teacher. Moving around desks: Students will move in the aisle areas ONLY!! No student is to be at the front of the classroom unless sharpening a pencil or given permission by the teacher. Teacher area: No student is to be at the teacher desk unless given permission, this Includes at the trash can!!
