Service Learning The literal definition Service-learning combines service objectives with learning objectives with the intent that the activity change both the recipient and the provider of the service. This is accomplished by combining service tasks with structured opportunities that link the task to self- reflection, self-discovery, and the acquisition and comprehension of values, skills, and knowledge content.

3. Service Learning pt. 2 My definition of Service Learning is giving aid to a community. Not because you have to, but because deep down as a person you choose to help your fellow man.

4. My Service (Fall) I help feed the homeless with New Birth South Baptist Church. I spent time at the F.Y.E. car wash I also worked with F.Y.E. rely bike ride. I did work on campus and helped a student- run business called Business Bites.

5. My Service (Spring) I helped Business Bites again I spent 2-3 hours every weekend for a little over a month I also help New Birth with the annul Easter Drive This took 4 hours and 40 dollars worth of gas Rely for Life

6. Business Bites I swept the floor and I made food I worked with the assistant manger Taylor I also had the fun job of cleaning dirty hot dog water.

7. New Birth South Working with the pastor was new kind of experience I also work with homeless people, who were helping to feed other homeless people I met people I will never forget

13. The Experience Unforgettable is one word that seems to fit perfect. I now know why people do it I vow to continue helping

14. What did I learn? Wow…….good question I guess learned that helping is fun easy I also learned, according to a homeless man named James, never bet my house in a game of poker. I am glad I had the opportunity to work and meet the people at New Birth

15. Rely for Life On my birthday, I spent time working with my fellow F.Y.E. members We had a great time and if I’m at VSU next year I shall be involved again
