Resistance of objects in fluid 2 年理数科 Keita Asada Yuki J. Miyaguchi Tomohiro Katsuki Naotaka Susuki
2
Motivation How does resistance work? We made equipment to research this because we wanted to know how it works. We started to research about resistance by changing the speed, the object and the fluid.
3
Equipment we used
4
Principle Fb…Resistance working on the object v …Speed, how fast object is moving P …The power consumption with the object Po…The power consumption without the object
5
About the equipment Motor Solarpanel Object LED light Schematic Power supply Equipment Multimeter Oscilloscope Current Voltage Speed Power
6
About the experiment we started 12 3 4
7
Past experiment says … If we put a object on the equipment, We need more electric power to move it. → We think it is caused by the resistance of the object. - = Difference in power
8
Control experiment
9
Result
10
Main experiment We moved the equipment again with object as resistance. We researched how much more electric power is required than without the object.
11
Result
12
We compare the result
13
Consideration The result shows resistance is proportional to the square of the speed. We think that resistance depends on the speed.
14
Our next challenge 1.We will find out what happens when objects move slower under the same situation. 2.We should experiment to ensure the results.
15
3. We want to test it in water. Can we get same result, or not? 4. We will use other objects as resistance and research the relationship between objects and resistance. 34
