3. A Day of Celebration & Tears  July 4 th, 1826  JQA is pres.  50 th anniversary of Declaration of Independence signed  Ppl. still remember the great men  S. Adams, P. Henry, & T. Paine  J. Adams, B. Franklin, & Th. Jefferson  America had problems but was still exciting

4. A Day of Celebration & Tears  US was born w/an idea  All men are created =  Men, women, & kids were coming to US  Rights to life, liberty, & the pursuit of happiness

8. A Day of Celebration & Tears  Messengers were sent to deliver the news  N. from MA to the S.  S. from VA to the N.  Messengers met in Philadelphia  Where it all started at Independence Hall w/the Dec. of Ind.
