SHP Responsibilities at a Crash Scene Contact any other necessary resources to assist with extended on scene investigations (i.e. Red Cross; City Transit System; District Attorney; Clergy; etc.) Certain incidents may require additional resources. First responders should think outside of the box regarding the resources available to them in their specific area – Mass casualties – Patrol car collisions involving fatalities – Incidents involving government dignitaries

5. SHP Responsibilities at a Crash Scene Set up On-Scene Command Post to manage incident and/or establish offsite meeting area for family/friends of victims to reduce the number of individuals responding to the incident
