Critical Thinking is the art of taking control of one’s thinking. it means continually bringing thinking to the conscious level, assessing it for quality, identifying its flaws, and then reconstructing it. If I am thinking critically, I understand the importance of routinely taking my thinking apart and assessing it using universal intellectual standards. The primary barrier to the development of critical thinking is our native egocentrism.
