religion, language, architecture, cuisine, technology, music, dance, sports, medicine, dress, gender roles, laws, education, government, agriculture, economy, grooming, values, work ethic, etiquette, courtship, recreation, and gestures.

Culture shock is the trauma you experience (mental and/or physical) when you move into a culture different from your home culture. Have any of you experienced this?

Imagine this… You live in a country that is inundated with
civil war. You have been separated, most likely permanently, from your family. You are at risk every minute of every day of being forced to join the rebel groups. Luckily, you are able to get to a safer location. Then, you are granted permission to enter the United States to continue your life. What would your reaction be upon learning this news??
