When was the first computer made? Unfortunately this question has no easy answer because of all the different classifications and Computers. First programmable computer The Z1 originally created by Germany's Konrad Zuse in his parents living room in 1936 to 1938 is considered to be the first electro-mechanical binary programmable computer. The first electric programmable computer The Colossus was the first eclectic programmable computer developed by Tommy Flowers and first demonstrated in December 1943. The Colossus was created to help the British code breakers read encrypted German messages. 1936 - 1938

When was the internet created? The Internet, then known as ARPANET, was brought online in 1969 under a contract let by the renamed Advanced Research Projects Agency (ARPA) which initially connected four major computers at universities in the southwestern US (UCLA, Stanford Research Institute, UCSB, and the University of Utah). The contract was carried out by BBN of Cambridge, MA under Bob Kahn and went online in December 1969. By June 1970, MIT, Harvard, BBN, and Systems Development Corp (SDC) in Santa Monica, Cal. were added. By January 1971, Stanford, MIT's Lincoln Labs, Carnegie-Mellon, and Case-Western Reserve U were added. In months to come, NASA/Ames, Mitre, Burroughs, RAND, and the U of Illinois plugged in. When did the war begin between Microsoft and Apple? The nice and friendly war between Microsoft and Apple started in 1985. 1985

When was the interactive whiteboard created? The interactive whiteboard was created in the 1990’s and widely developed into all primary and secondary schools from 2000 – 2010 1990’s
