The actuality of our research doesn’t cause any doubts. Because taking into account such a widespread interest in films, we can have a real opportunity to direct mass of audience to reading.

1. To give an idea of phenomena Pottermania and Sherlocmania; 2. To tell about influence on the society 3. To learn about popularity of these characters among students of our school.

Pottermania is an informal term first used around 1999 describing the craze of Harry Potter fans have had over the series. Sherlockmania is an informal term which means people’s fascination with books and films about Sherlock Holmes.

1. We could prove positive sides of phenomena Pottermania and Sherlockmania. 2. We could arouse interest to reading books in English among our classmates. 3. We occurred with the idea of adapting these works for primary and secondary school students.

We’re going to adapt and to simplify novels and stories about Harry Potter and Sherlock Holmes for infant and secondary school pupils.
