2. First Appearance  The earliest ones date back as far as the 5 th century B.C.  Used same way blow guns were used.  Invented by the Chinese

3. World War 1  Another flamethrower as invented by Richard Fiedler in 1901.  Developed two models; one large & one small  Were mostly used in early phases of war(1914 & 1915).  Germans were the first to use them in the war.

4. What were they used for?  Mainly needed to clear enemy soldiers from their front line trenches.  It was also useful as an intimidation tactic.  Purpose of these weapons to lower the enemy’s morale.  Frightened most soldiers away.

5. Software and Hardware Problems I Encountered  Some of the problems I encountered were not being able to type my rough draft or final draft at home.  Not being able to find some changes.  Not finding more websites to research on. Also I got denied into websites at school.  Another important problem was not finding enough information.

6. How I solved my software/hardware problems  I was able to go to my cousin's house and being able to type my reports.  Since I was being denied into websites at school I just decided to research at home.  As for websites I just kept on looking until I found what I needed.

7. Facts about Flamethrowers  These destructive weapons used pressurized air, carbon dioxide, or nitrogen to push oil through the nozzle.  First had range of 25 meters but then improved to 40 meters.  Liquid capacity of 12.0-12.5 liters.  Main parts are the fuel tank, flame tube with it’s hose, and the lighter system.

8. How did I know my sources were valid?  First of all I remember Mrs. Respers teaching us about CARRDS.  I also went on other websites to see if my information was up to date.  I was able to find the author and the publisher.  Also all the information was up to date.
