Phrase A group of words that is used as a single part of speech and that does not have both a subject or verb.

Prepositional Phrase A prepositional phrase includes: preposition,
the object of the preposition, and any modifiers (words that describe) of that object (adverbs or adjectives)

Prepositional Phrases
A prepositional phrase can be used as an adjective phrase or an adverb phrase. It all depends on what it is being used to modify (describe).

Adjective Phrases A prepositional phrase that modifies (describes) a noun or pronoun. They will answer the questions: What kind? Which one? How many? How much?

Adverb Phrases An adverb phrase is a prepositional phrase that is used to (describe) a verb, adjective, or another adverb. They will answer the questions: How? When? Where? To what extent?
