You just need a few changes to do the same as the other students Sit closer to the board Have print enlarged or Brailled Tell your teacher when something is hard to see Use special equipment when you need it!
4
Means you have a “resource class” for students with visual impairments. Class scheduled as “Visual Impairments Study Skills.” Learn to use special equipment and materials. Get help with homework. Get extra help with class work. Learn self advocacy. Learn self-help skills.
5
Means you are in a self-contained class with a place for your things in that teacher’s class. Your teacher gets consultation. You still receive services from a V.I. teacher. Your teacher is helped to find the best materials and equipment for you.
