Speaking notes are a key-word outline of your speech, including data such as quotations and statistics as well as delivery cues. Preparing speaking notes: provides you with prompts as you speak helps cement the flow of the speech in your mind makes you think about key ideas and phrasing © 2011 Cengage Learning
