2. Plants and Vegetables Kindergartners will learn about plants and vegetables.

3. Essential & Unit Questions Students will learn why plants and vegetables are important to us? They are an essential natural resource. In order to live we have to eat. We fee livestock from our crops.

4. Overall Goal Learn where plants and vegetables come from. Learn the difference between a fruit and a vegetable. Learn the basic structure of a plant or vegetable.

5. Student Outcomes Kindergartners will create a power point, with the help of their 5th grade buddies, that present what they have learned about plants and animals. Students will take an assessment displaying what they have learned throughout the unit.

6. Culminating Activity Students will plant vegetable seeds and watch them grow.
