Individual development and identity-How do people reach their basic needs in a variety of contexts? Individuals, groups, and institutions- What is the role of institutions in different societies? Power, authority, and governance- How are governments formed and maintained? Production, distribution, and consumption- How are goods and services produced? Science, technology, and society- How can we cope with change? Global connections – What is the connection between global priorities and national interests? Civic ideals and practices- What is the balance between rights and responsibilities?
