Aircraft Winter Safety
Thorough pre-flight inspection is essential Look for snow or ice in the Pitot static tube, static ports, propeller spinner, control hinges, etc. NEVER take off with visible ice, frost, or roughness / frozen moisture on the wing surfaces. Lift can be seriously degraded. Check for current CO (carbon monoxide) detector in the aircraft. NOVEMBER SAFETY BRIEFING
