Interview three of your friends about their favorite sports Name Which sport do you like best? Why?

36 Speaking Interview three of your friends about their favorite sports
Asking about interests and hobbies: What’s your favorite sport? Which sport do you like best? Which do you prefer, …or…? Which do you like, …or…? What about…? Are you interested in…? Are you into…? Are you crazy about…? Are you fond of…? Are you a big fan of…? Possible answers: Sure. I love sports. Yes, very much./no, not really. Shooting, I think. I like…best. I prefer…to… I’d rather watch it than play it. It can make us brave. It enables us to react quickly. It gives us more confidence. It builds up our body. It lets us know more about teamwork

37 Sample dialogue: A: Hi. Can I ask you a question? B: Sure. A: What’s your favorite sport? B: Hmm,let me think. Oh, basketball. I think I like basketball best. A: Why do you like basketball? B: I like basketball because it is fast and exciting. The players jump high and the games are always very close. Some games are decided in the last few seconds.

38 Sample dialogue2 A: What’s your favorite sport?
B: My favorite sport is football. I love watching the Chinese team play. The players are very good and they use a plan to try to beat/defeat the other team. A: But sometimes two teams play a whole game and never score a goal. B: Yes, but scoring a goal is not the only exciting thing. Each player will do many amazing things in a game and the players work together to score a goal. Even if the teams don’t score a goal, the game is fun to watch.
