5. The Olympic games started in Ancient Greece and they are still held now. Once every four years, men from all over Greece came to compete in a great athletic festival in Elis, in western Greece (Women were not allowed to compete). This was called the Olympic games because the place was called Olympia.

6. If you won the Olympics games: Like our Olympics, though, winning athletes were heroes who put their home towns on the map also they put laurel leaves around their head.
