Walk the Line Face-to-face courses or learning experiences are more work than online courses or learning experiences. Students learn more from face-to-face learning experiences. Online courses provide the same level of training as face-to-face courses. Participants in face-to-face courses need more discipline than students in online learning environments.

Walk the Line Face-to-face learning experiences maximize the learner’s multiple intelligences. Online learning experiences maximize the learner’s multiple intelligences. Education majors have a higher computer anxiety and less computer experience than students in other majors. The level of teacher’s computer and Internet self-efficacy effects their students’ achievement and self-efficacy.

Walk the Line Many of your students will take online summer classes, or enroll in online universities, or take hybrid courses in college. Students can benefit from learning about their teachers’ online learning experiences when making their own education choices. Our students know more about technology than we do. I use some form of technology in my classes every day

Further Discussion Education majors DO have a higher computer anxiety and less computer experience than students in other majors (Watson, 2006). The level of teacher’s computer and Internet self- efficacy DOES effect their students’ achievement and self-efficacy (Watson, 2006).

Further Discussion WHY do our students know more about technology than we do? If you ARE using technology daily in the classroom, how are you using it? If you AREN’T using technology daily in the classroom, why aren’t you using it? What can WQLN do to help?
