2. Project idea  Create a book about a 9 year old girl named Macy Adams whose mother has been depressed pretty much her whole life  Personal Illustrations throughout the book

3. Why?  Kids have a lot of questions when someone in their family is sick. When the problem is about depression, it often becomes a secret that nobody wants to talk about. When children don't have answers to their questions, they tend to come up with their own, which may be wrong and scary!

Timeline  October 1 Research on depression and anxiety.  November 1 Storyboard of children's story book on depression and anxiety.  December 1 Illustrations for the book.  January 1 Writing out book.  February 1 Print book.  March 1 Write a lesson plan for each class I will have.  April 1 Teach 3rd grade classes about depression and anxiety.  May 1 Create a presentation of a day of teaching.
