What is directionality?
The meaning of some signs in ASL can change, based on the way some signs are moved. This feature of ASL is called directionality. Hint: If you want to sign something being done to, for, or with you, then the sign tends to be directional.

The directional verb “HELP”
HELP~ME HELP~YOU HELP~US HELP~HER/HIM HELP~THEM Note: You don’t need to add the sign for the pronouns above-they are included in the sign!
