Headings/subheadings: titles for “sections” of readings 4. Captions: statements that explain photo’s, charts, etc. 5. Charts, graphs : visual aids to show relationships between information 6. Diagrams, sidebars: visual representations of information 7. Glossary: a dictionary of RELATED terms (how many different glossaries are in your literature text?) 8. Index: a list of EVERYTHING inside in alphabetical order with page #’s
