Single vs. Multi-celled organisms Single-celled organism have one cell (ex. Amoeba). Multi-celled organisms have many cells (ex. Panda).

Animal Cell vs. Plant Cell Similarities Differences a nucleus with chromosomes inside cell membranes Cytoplasm Vesicles Mitochondrion Plant cells have one large vacuole, but animal cells have multiple vacuoles. Only plant cells have a cell wall. Only plant cells have chloroplasts.

Microorganisms Beneficial Harmful Some microorganisms, like penicillium (fungi) are used to make important medicines. Some microorganisms like strep bacteria can be very harmful. E. Coli can be both harmful and beneficial

Microscope A tool that makes microscopic objects appear larger. The first person to use a microscope was Robert Hooke.
