Using Excel for graphs GCSE Science

To make your graphs, select the ‘Insert’ tab at the top of the screen. You can see the chart types available.

Highlight the data you wish to work with. If you highlight the title then this will automatically label your data. Then select the chart type you want. Highlight the data you wish to work with. Click on ‘Edit’ in the Horizontal (Category) Axis Labels.

Highlight all the years and click ‘OK’ and then ‘OK’ again. This will add the years to your graph.

There are many other options available. The Design tab offers various choices. You can drag the corners of the chart area to increase the size of the graph.
