Late Glacial Events in Wales Best known is the Devensian Glaciation; peaked about 20 Ka Minor cirque glaciation, the Younger Dryas/Loch Lomond Stadial, 12 Ka Key prior areas of interest for Welsh scientists: –northern Snowdonia and the Brecon Beacons (Swansea) –SW Wales and southern Snowdonia (Aberystwyth) –Irish Sea Basin (Bangor – offshore; Aberystwyth & British Geological Survey, Cardiff – coastal ).
