The Problem? American kids are becoming sitters! American kids are getting fatter! American kids are getting sicker! American kids are getting sadder! Sears, Sears, & Foy, 2003 LEAN Kids

American kids are becoming sitters! Our world makes it too easy for kids to be INACTIVE!

American kids are getting fatter! At no time in history have American children been more overweight! Nationally ~ one-third 2-19 year olds overweight or obese.

American kids are getting sicker! The Standard American Diet (SAD) and increasing childhood inactivity have contributed to epidemic proportional increases in type II diabetes occurring with young populations.

American kids are getting sadder! The number of children on prescription mood-altering drugs (for anxiety, depression, etc.) has increased 300% over the last 10 years.

Some Solutions? Many no or low cost opportunities for ALL children that maximize opportunities to move in ways that are rewarding and enjoyable! Adults trained to help create these opportunities and model healthy living practices.
