6. Alternate Ending I would have changed the ending to that of a more positive one, or a happy one.I would have had Stuart return from the hospital and marry Barbara. Also, the war would end and Jimmy and Elizabeth’s brother would have returned from the war decorated with medals. In addition, Gordy would not have moved away.
