My tree is a sycamore tree

How I picked Pa[tree]cia Monday the 5 th of October well first I picked a different tree on a walk with my mom on the day we got the project near my house[she was excited ;) ] but then I saw it in daylight and it wasn’t my type of tree ;) Tuesday the 6 th of October I then saw Pa[tree]cia she is very small... and that’s why I picked her because she is special

The leaves The width of the leaf is 7 and a half inches and the length of the leaf is 6 inches. The leaves were obviously green at first but then they got red at the top and green at the bottom after a while they became yellow and the brings us up to now where many have gone brown. Pa[tree]cia has lost a lot of leaves I brought some with me today

The branches and seeds There are about 21 branches The longest branch is about 100 inches long [ don’t know exactly because it is too high ] I saw the seeds – they are like helicopters Horses can die after eating the seeds

The insect project I put an empty tic tac box by the trunk.And I found a worm and some ants…

The bark The height of the tree is 3 and a half metres. The width of the bark is 4 inches and the circumference is 8 inches. The bark is brown with grey dots on her. The bark is also very rough.

The Secrets of the Sycamore Tree There is a book called the Secrets of the Sycamore Tree – the author (Sue Hart) says the name is from the fig-mulberry They only came to Ireland in the 16 th century and grow well in cities They belong to the Maple family The timber is as strong as oak but doesn’t last as long

Her changes I visited Pa[tree]cia around 8 times. Sometimes during the day and sometimes at night The changes I saw were You can see all the changes on the pictures
