2. CURRENT ACTIVITIESFUN FACTS During this week, the construction fencing will expand to include the entire construction area for BSRL. During this week, demolition activities will create some noise near the Keating loading dock and the stair at the southwest corner of the Medical Research Building. During this week, landscape and hardscape demolition will begin. Existing boulders, rip-rap, and gravel is being salvaged and re-used for the new landscape design- this is a part of the University’s efforts to support sustainability. It takes 30’ deep concrete caissons to shore up the existing buildings so we can dig and build the BSRL basement. Flaggers will guide traffic through the area during the move in.

They are complete and the site is ready for general construction What you will see when you get back from the closure... 1. The entire site will be fenced. 2. Construction trailers will be in place. 3. All on-site demolition will be complete. 4. Excavation will begin- 100 trucks a day are possible. 5. Two-way traffic on N. Cherry Ave. will be back in place.
