Thinking about engineering… We’d like to hear your input! How many of you have studied or speak a foreign language, have lived or worked abroad, have foreign employees or colleagues, trade connections or projects abroad? How does your work involve the world? To what extent? What international/intercultural competencies and skill sets do you think would be useful to young engineers graduating over the next ten years? What might MSU offer so that students can gain these? (specialized courses or seminars, additional foreign languages, internships abroad, study abroad for intercultural and language skills, faculty- led short programs abroad, collaborative projects via distance technology, senior projects that work to solve real world problems/needs abroad, etc.) Which would be most valuable?
