LOCAL PARTNERS IN NNIP The defining functions u Build and operate information systems with recurrently updated indicators on neighborhood conditions u Facilitate and promote the direct practical use of indicators by community and city leaders for community building and local policy making u Emphasize the use of information to build the capacities of institutions and residents in distressed neighborhoods

u Follow-on brief about roundtables of housing and schools practioners on school & residential mobility u Local partners still leading examples –Four local partners presented at New Orleans Reclaiming Vacant Properties conference –Oakland to be featured in Federal Reserve video –Housing panel at upcoming CIC conference u Provision of data and guides with CHP, LISC on Foreclosure-Response.org (though future unclear) ADVANCING THE STATE OF PRACTICE Housing Markets
