Exploration Exploration began with Prince Henry who was from Portugal. The major countries that began exploration are Portugal, Spain, France, Great Britain United Kingdom( Great Britain) had the largest empire. Explores wanted to spread Christianity Prince Henry is called the navigator because he created a navigational school and paid for may voyages.

Russian Revolution The Russian Revolution began during the WWI Russian was an autocracy / dictatorship under Czar Nicholas the II. The causes of the Russian Revolution are because the serfs where starving and had lack of daily things. Vladimir Lenin Overthrew the monarchy and lead the revolution. Communism was brought to Russia in 1917,

Treaty of Versailles The terms of the treaty were for Germany to accept blame, pay reparations (money) to countries, get rid of military, and lose colonies and land. France believed Germany needed to pay for starting the war & to keep Germany from invading France again. The United States and Russia did not sign the treaty. The United States did not agree with the treaty and Russia was out of the war, because of the revolution.

Cold War The Cold War was from 1945 – 1991. United States and Soviet Union were the two countries who engaged in the Cold War. The purpose of the Berlin Wall was to keep Communist East Berlin separated from Democratic West Berlin. The Berlin Wall was in Germany.
