Step 1: Read Chapter 17 Sections 3 to 5 (pages 198-203). Then follow these steps to fill in the flowchart for each section: In the first box, list the problems that were identified in the section you were assigned. In the rounded-corner rectangle, describe the proposed solutions or strategies for addressing these problems. In the oval, list the enacted reforms or solutions in response to these problems. You have 20 minutes maximum!

Step 2: Your now will return to your regular groups where you had different topics. There will 1 person who has the same That person Shares half the rectangle & all the oval the other partner shares all the first box & half the rounded rectangle! You are an expert on your topic… Your job is to teach your team all about your topic. You all need to become experts on progressive reform. You have 20 minutes

Finally, in your group give the progressives a letter grade (A–F) for how well they addressed each of these problems and list at least two reasons in support of your grade. You have 6 minutes Lets discuss ……..
