12 1 st Character – Day of Conference (first day, second day, third day) 2 nd Character – Time period 3 rd (+4 th ) Character – The session in that time period Cracking the Code!

13 Workshops can be sorted by day, time period, and session Easy to identify when workshops are scheduled Prevents individuals from enrolling in multiple sessions in the same time period In ACEweb, makes it easier for to set up selections for students What does Coding do for you? Should ALSO aim to have the “Code” chronological… (helps with ACEweb display order)

18 Workshop selections are noted, and additional charges automatically added

19 Email Workshop Participants Provides a list of students with emails. Select recipients and move on to broadcast email screen Similar to email class from course Quick Reports screen

20 Show Students Provides a list of students Similar to email class from course Quick Reports screen

21 Edit Grades, CEU’s and Hours Similar to email class from course Quick Reports screen

22 To Edit Grades /Hours/etc for one person / one conference, use Edit Workshops from the Registration screen

23 To Remove a Participant from a Workshop and/or Select Another Workshop Click “Assign Workshops”. Uncheck to remove workshop; check to select an additional workshop

24 If Maximum size limit is recorded on Workshop screen, Student Manager will warn if the workshop is full and refuse additional registrations

28 Use SELEWORK to build Workshop Rosters and Schedules for Workshop Attendees

29 Special Workshop Functions: ( Referenced in SM Help) ADDWORK Returns the value of a field in the Workshop Master table. ADDWKCODE Returns workshop codes in which individual is registered for specific course. SELEWORK Returns workshop information in student schedules for courses with workshops. SHOWWORK Returns workshops taken by particular registrant, with or without instructor name and options to select specific fields. QUIKWORK Returns selected information about workshops in which an individual is registered.

30 Special Workshop Functions: ( Referenced in SM Help) CTWORK Returns number of workshop in which individual is enrolled for specific course. CUSTWKCD Returns list of workshops from multiple courses in which single registrant is enrolled SHOWWKMS Returns a listing of Master Workshops set up for course. LISTWORK Returns specified workshop information from individual's registration.

35 Min and Max refer to the minimum/maximum number of workshops registrants must select Participants will not be allowed to continue the registration process until they meet both the minimum and maximum number of workshops. To make this work, set the WksCodeMatch ini setting. In our coding example the setting would be “2”

36 Prevent the Workshop from Displaying on ACEweb Check to prevent this workshop from being available on ACEweb
