Student donations will be sent to the international relief organization, Samaritan’s Purse. Having surpassed their $200 goal, Mrs. Jones’ social studies students issued a challenge to other fifth grade classes in the state to help provide the opportunity for an education to those children less fortunate.

5 Relay for Life “Hat Day” On May 16, 2014, 5 th grade students, along with other Southside students donated $1 each to Relay for Life. With this donation, students were allowed to wear a hat to school for the day.
