Let’s build on the Park!

Wardown Park was once the (very large) garden for Wardown House. The house is now one of the two Luton museums. © Luton Culture 2015

In 1903 the owners decided to sell the house and park. One option was to sell off parts of the estate for new houses. Building on the park isn’t a new idea. In the end it was bought by Luton council.

The basic Planning Permission form – 10 pages long! There are lots more forms to fill in after these.

The Park now – we will be going out into the park to conduct our surveys: Traffic Environmental Amenities Population

Create your bar graph Look at your data: What is the highest number you need to chart What information do you want on the side axis? What information do you want on the bottom axis?

Create your posters Your Poster must include: Your graph An explanation of what you did and how you did it Your Poster could include: Pictures Any thoughts on your results Your quadrat survey results if you have any
