2. Wardown Park was once the (very large) garden for Wardown House. The house is now one of the two Luton museums. © Luton Culture 2015

3. In 1903 the owners decided to sell the house and park. One option was to sell off parts of the estate for new houses. Building on the park isn’t a new idea. In the end it was bought by Luton council.
