2  Drinking can lead to:  Domestic Violence  Many more children every year are abused by a parent using alcohol  Rape  People may not acknowledge the word no.  Suicide  Depression and sadness increase with drinking.  Law-breaking  Violating School Policies  40% of college students have engaged in binge drinking in the last year.

3  Making Wrong Decisions  Ex: Drinking and Driving.  False Sense of Confidence  Never drink to be more social  Impaired Judgment  Ex: Saying things they do not mean and losing a friend.  Feelings of Invincibility  More likely to give into Negative Peer Pressure  Engaging in drug use http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H3n Z0NBCyRQ

4  There is always a “No” Factor when it comes to drinking.  Physical Activity is a major way to keep from drinking.  Being around friends who do not use alcohol.  Involvement in your school where alcohol is never present  Ex: Clubs or sports teams

5  Binge Drinking- drinking five in a row by males and four in a row by females.  Many people are unaware that binge drinking is related to hazing.  The biggest factor played into binge drinking and hazing is drinking games.  The loser of the game must drink large quantities of alcohol, which causes many college related deaths.

6 POSITIVESNEGATIVES  Having a higher self esteem  Relationships are improved  Making correct judgments  Overall health is improved  Losing close friends  Being Isolated  Depression  Destroying families  Thoughts of suicide  Prevents you from being productive
