3.  Commercials make alcohol look fun and exciting  People in the commercial are usually young and attractive  It is done on PURPOSE!!  No company will put the negative effects of alcohol in a commercial because they want to make money  They do not care about your health!!

4.  Most teens decide to drink in order to be cool or hang out with the “cool people”.  It’s not easy to say no, but it is the right thing to do.  BINGE DRINKING  Having several alcoholic drinks in a short period of time.  This is very dangerous and can cause the body’s systems to fail  You can stop breathing, heart rate might fall, even death  This will lead to people needing their stomachs pumped.

5.  Teens already deal with many issues  School, social life, parents  When alcohol is mixed into the equation, it makes handling these things much harder.  Also damages your physical health and could get you in trouble with the law.

6.  Teens are still growing  Alcohol can hard the body and damage the brain  Your body will not grow and develop properly  Alcohol effects emotions  It is not easy to handle the emotional changes a teenager goes through  Anger, sadness, boredom  Teenagers think alcohol will help solve their problems  It might change how you feel right away, but it does not solve problems

7.  People who use alcohol  Have trouble dealing with others  Can’t control emotions  This will lead to bigger problems when you get older.  Alcohol does not:  Relieve stress  Help you sleep (actually disrupts sleep)

8.  You all are minors  Minor is a person under the age of adult rights and responsibilities  If an underage teenager buys or is found with alcohol on him or her, they can be arrested and fined.  If you are caught driving while intoxicated you lose your license  Also alcohol can be considered a gateway drug. Leads to use of other drugs and commit crimes.
