1 Group Work Contributed by Monica Solanki All resources in the "Contributions" section of our resource bank have been submitted by delegates on our Taking Care of Behaviour Online course. For more information about this practical, self-paced course, please visit: http://www.pivotaleducation.com/taking-care-of-behaviour-online/http://www.pivotaleducation.com/taking-care-of-behaviour-online/ I have used this resource consistently with my Year 8's since January. It is a large class of 32 pupils. Since using this resource the lessons have had fewer behaviour issues as a result and more productive lessons. The children's feedback from the use of this resource has been really positive too. I have designed these cards and organised my room into tables of fours. I find working in groups with effective learning partner seating helps to further understand different concepts of mathematics better. In order to effectively manage behaviour, whilst I group seat my class I designed four different cards that are aimed at delegating individuals with roles and responsibilities to provide them with focus. It also allows for integration and gives every child an opportunity to take part in the lesson as you can carousel the cards every week. It further allows for opportunities to reward, rather than tell off, for both the characters and the angels.

5 Review Panel: Ask students to adapt your resources for you to make it clearer for the class. Then let them launch the task. Students take turns to prepare the starter/plenary for the class. Ask your TA publicly how different groups are getting on in the room. Allows the students to see the TA as another teacher like figure.
