What we will be getting for the budget…  35 workstation computers with speakers and a 15inch flat screen monitor.  10 all-in-one printers, 4 of which will be in the designated classrooms.  Two speakers for each workstation.  Microsoft office 2007 suite installed on each and every computer even the ones that will go into the designated classrooms.  A three-year warranty in case problems rise up in the lab or in the designated classrooms. 7. What we will be getting for the budget…  Our computer specifics: (Summary and basics) 1. The processor: intel® Core™ 2 Duo Processor E7300 (2.66GHz, 3M, 1066MHz FSB). This is the chip responsible for all computer applications. It is measured in GHz. 2.66 is a decent speed for what we need. 2. Memory: 1.0GB DDR2 Non-ECC SDRAM, 800MHz, (1DIMM). 8. What we will be getting for the budget…  Our computer specifics: (Summary and basics) 3. Hard drive: 160GB 7200 RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s and 8MB DataBurst Cache™. Think of this as a big file cabinet where files are stored. For the price, a 160 GB hard drive on each computer is a lot of space. 4. Dvd Hard Drive: 16X DVD-ROM SATA, Roxio Creator™ Cyberlink Power DVD™. This is an important drive as students can play dvds and also burn dvds on the same computer.
