Ocular History 18 year-old black male , from Rio de Janeiro , Brazil Blurred vision OS since 1 week History of being scratched by domestic cat several times

VA : 20/20 OD / Counting fingers 2 M OS no cells in the anterior chamber IOP : 15 /16 mmHg Fundoscopy: disc edema, macular edema, retinal infiltrate in the inferior arcade

Diagnosis and Treatment
The diagnosis of neuroretinitis was made Cat-scratch was considered Patient was started on Doxyciclin 2x100mg Bartonella henselae serology was ordered Bartonella henselae IgG + 1/1024 Treatment for 1 month Last VA (8/2013) 20/40

Conclusion Cat-scratch disease may presente with very poor visual acuity Cat-scratch disease shows good response to therapy with antibiotics History is important in the diagnosis Retinal infiltrates are very common in Cat-scratch disease and may help in the diagnosis
